I created Your Launch Blueprint to provide you with everything you need to get your business off the ground so that you can focus on the work that only you can do. 

As a creative business strategist at Ink: The Story Studio, I have worked with a number of business owners to help them grow their business and every single one of them talks about how hard the first few years were because they didn't have a clue what they were doing. A local artist I talked to said that for the first couple of years it felt like she was flinging spaghetti at a wall to see what would stick.

Having owned my own business since 2005, I know from personal experience that we tend to make it so much more complicated than it needs to be and, too often, end up working even harder than we did when we had a "real" job.

My mission in creating Your Launch Blueprint is to help you get up and running with everything you need in place so that you can focus on the work that only you can do from day one in your business.  That work is where your greatest value and, equally importantly, your greatest satisfaction exists.

I don't want you to struggle for the first few years when you really don't have to.

I want you to have the time and energy to build a business you love while also living a life that you love.

Because isn't that the whole point?

I started my second business in 2016 when I was 48 and I'm launching
The Midlife Courage Project - my third business - at the age of 50. 

So I know a thing or three about launching and growing businesses as a midlife woman!

at age 37

I started this business with one class in a church hall on a Saturday morning.  It grew into a thriving business with two studios, 10 teachers and 100+ students each week.


my 2nd business
at age 48

My 2nd business took everything I had learned in the previous 11 years to help other creative business owners to start their businesses with less unnecessary effort.


my 3rd business
at age 50!

This business feels like my legacy business - where I will get to do work that will leave my mark on the world.  I am BEYOND excited to embark on this new chapter.

I know from personal experience (and from working with other business owners) how easy it is to get stuck in a state of analysis-paralysis with lots of ideas but no action to back them up.  You feel like it all needs to be perfectly formed in your mind before you do anything about it.  

Which never happens.

The longer you procrastinate, the more ideas you have and so begins the vicious cycle which takes you nowhere!

Your Launch Blueprint sessions carve out the time and focus you need to create an action plan to bring your business vision to life. With the input and expertise of a business coach with 12 years experience as a business owner.

Too often I see business owners launch their business without getting clear on what their customers really want or need.  They end up wasting a lot of time or money designing a beautiful website which is trying to "sell" something that no-one actually wants.

The design of your business includes:

  • Your offers: the products or services you plan to offer which you create in response to what you know about your story, your customers’ stories and your most compelling business story;

  • Your pricing: this can be an emotional minefield but it doesn’t have to be - together we can figure out pricing that works for you and your clients;

  • Your business set-up: all the logistics and practicalities of setting up your business such as the corporate structure you choose for your business, opening your bank account, checking on any licenses you need, setting up a way to get paid etc etc. and

  • Your website: this is where you get to tell your most compelling business story. We will talk about the role your website plays in your business and I will help you to see how a lot of the work we did in Step One will translate into compelling copy for your website. We will also talk about the most affordable way to get your website up and running whether you choose one of the wonderful DIY options available today (Hello Squarespace!) or I can recommend some wonderful website designers who can create your first website for you.

In Step One of Your Launch Blueprint, we got clear on what I believe is the foundation of your business - your most compelling business story (which we uncovered by getting clear on your story and your prospective customers’ stories).

It’s easy to get distracted by all the different marketing methods that exist today and you can very easily waste time, energy and money chasing the newest and shiniest marketing method.

In Step Three of Your Launch Blueprint, we are going to create a marketing plan for the launch of your business. Your marketing plan will outline how you plan to share your new business with as many people who want to hear about it as possible in a way that takes into account everything we know about you and your prospective clients. 

We will think about where your clients are online and in the real world and how you can showcase your business in those places in a way that allows you and your business to shine.  This is your business and I want you to build it your way while also being very mindful that your marketing needs to resonate with your prospective clients and needs to meet them where they are in their life.

In this step of Your Launch Blueprint, we will:

  • learn how to set up an email list so that you can connect with your prospective clients as you share your business' most compelling story with them;

  • decide which social media platforms you plan to be on and create accounts on those platforms for your business;

  • choose which social media or real world platform is going to be your #1 way of introducing people to your business so that you can channel the majority of your energy into that one platform;

  • create a weekly marketing plan broken down into daily plans of action so that you are consistently reaching out to your prospective clients with a clear and compelling message that will resonate with them.

What is included in your launch blueprint?

  • Your Launch Blueprint workbook with assignments and resources for each Step of Your Business Blueprint;

  • six x 45 minute sessions by phone or online (you can split the calls into 3 x 90 minute sessions if you prefer); and

  • customized assignments for you to complete between calls.

You might have a lot of homework to do after our calls and that is good.  It is much better to do this work before launching your business instead of learning the hard way how important it is after you have already launched.  This groundwork will create a strong foundation for the long-term success of your business

Creating websites is how I help business owners to make sure that their website perfectly captures their most compelling story so that it causes their most perfect clients to be drawn to their business.

I have created websites for my own business and creative projects for the past 10 years.  During those years, I have worked with a number of web design platforms including WordPress, Squarespace and Wix.  

What is included in the creation of your website?

  • a 5 page website created for you (for example, home page, about page, services/products page, blog and contact page);

  • Design of a logo for your website - click here for a gallery of sample logos;

  • Set-up of hosting of your website - you will then pay for the hosting fees on a monthly or annual basis;

  • Addition of up to 5 products or services to your website - includes advice and supporting in setting up a method for your clients to pay you online;

  • Set up or transfer of your domain name;

  • Set up of your business email address with G Suite - click here for pricing - the monthly or annual fee for your business email address will be paid by you directly to G Suite*; 

  • Links to your social media channels on your website;

  • An opt-in form for a newsletter will be added to your website so that you can build a list of people who are interested in learning more about your business;

  • Design of a newsletter template for you; and

  • two 45 minute training sessions to teach you step-by-step how to make changes to your website such as adding or managing your blog posts, adding products or services, adding new pages or making changes to your existing pages.

  • set up of business email address;

  • links to your social medial accounts added to your website;

  • an opt-in form for your newsletter will be added to your website;

  • design of your newsletter template;

  • addition of up to 5 products or services - includes advice and supporting in setting up a method for your clients to pay you online;


Web copy

 It can be really challenging to tell your own story.  I would be happy to write your website copy if you would find that helpful.

 This option includes website copy for your home page, your about page and your services page that will bring your most compelling business story to life.

Your website design package is payable by a 50% deposit and the balance is due 1-2 weeks later when your website is ready.
